Community

Ard Cuan is a small, wellknit community to which all residents belong, and is part of a wider and integrated community in Portaferry. We ensure that our residents feel part of it by bringing the wider community to the home: library services, clergymen, the community dentist, the district nurse, podiatrists, hair stylists, masseurs, musicians, local school children, from primary and secondary schools – all call to ensure our residents are in good health and spirits. Simply put, the home is a hive of activity. Local businesses enjoy our patronage, with all our produce locally sourced: shopkeepers, butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers keep us supplied with fresh, local produce to ensure our residents enjoy a balanced and nutrious diet.
